Call it the ultimate home-shopping network —
four women proffering their unique wares in a luxe private home where girlfriends
with ample discretionary greenbacks come and go for two days.
That was the picture last week at the home of Minnie Baird as she and Lisa Barfield Kopecky
of San Antonio rolled out their collection of bejeweled, animal-skin handbags.
Jewelry designer Patricia Peckinpaugh displayed her gold and precious-stone pieces.

Producing the handbags under the Barfield & Baird label,
the women design the purses and jewelry adornments that are manufactured
outside San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and in upstate New York.
The bags, priced at the house parties from $350 to $6,800,
are also sold at Stanley Korshak in Dallas,
Julian Gold stores across the state and Jamie's in Nashville, Tenn.

of Ostrich leg skins in a lush and vibrant Strawberry pink color
It is a Tote shape with double wide rings of matching soft leather that thread through the top of the bag

Bottom is the same matching leather as the handles and features 5 golden Feet
The Gusseted sides are also in the same matching leather
Darby Scott and Judith Leiber were famous for using this particular skin as it is expecially difficult to utilize.

The interior of the bag is beige pigskin edged in the pink of the Ostrich
There is a center partition made into a large zippered pocket
There are 6 open pockets attached to the side walls and the partition
for easy storing of your cell phone, keys, compact, etc.
Also a second Zippered pocket above the incised signature LISA BARFIELD designer label.
