EMILIA CASTILLO Sterling Plated Rounded Edged Rectangular Tray
Pair of Oxidized leaves on each corner, with one featuring a perched Onyx Blackbird

This is an extraordinary piece of Art for your Table.
It is more than a Silver Tray, it is an artifact of substance and great beauty.

This is a charmingly whimsical ART-TO-TABLE Silver Plateado Platter
Totally Hand Finished and Hand Hammered by Designer Emilia Castillo,
daughter of the famed Los Castillo family of artisans in Taxco, Mexico.
It is an elegant rendition of a Single Onyx Black Bird Perched on a pair of Turquoise Oxidized Silver Leaves
Castillo is fond of depicting "Critters in Motion", this fits the bill!
The articulation of detail on the figural Bird adds to the texture and elaborateness of the design.

Castillos' Collection of Home Accessories were sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus.
Her Pieces have very limited represenation
making it even more difficult to find,
more collectable and certainly more valuable.

This is a Statement Home Accessory that will never go unnoticed!
Perfect Brand New condition from Neiman Marcus
Shiny bright Surface with delicious Patina of Hand Hammered Mottled Finish
I love the variations in finish, with an "antiqued" mottled surface
The Black Bird sits on the top of an oxidized leaf in one corner of the piece
There are double leave with slightly varying finishes on each corner of the tray
Rounded ends elongate the piece and create small handles
The bird and Leaves are also made out of silver plated metal from the feel
Although I think the bird could be onyx or horn or a combination
The bird is poised to take flight
All in Perfect Silver Plate
Hallmarked EMILIA CASTILLO, Mexico Plateado
11" x 8 1/4"
small lip around the surface
The articulation of each botanical figural adds to the texture and elaborateness of the design.
